Have a speedy recovery, Uncle Ab!
Visited Ab exactly a week ago. Hope he's coping well and feeling much better.

Had a meaningful sahur with Darul Ma'wa kids today!
It's good to see the kids again. And of course, seeing the faces I miss...

Shaura's simple life
Hello Mummy's friends! I'm Shaura Marissa. I love living my simple life. What do I do everyday? Well, I eat, sleep and pass motion. I love to Zzz the most as doctors around the world have encouraged babies to sleep to help them grow. Well, I trust you, doctors! We went to Bedok Polyclinic today for my second jab of Hepatitis B vaccine. It's good to know that my weight has increased from 2.675kg to 4.5kg in just one month. Mummy says I'm as heavy as her ancient tyrannosaurus laptop, whatever that means! :S
I cry every 2 hours for food i.e. 90ml of milk per feeding - a good improvement as I used to only consume 60ml. Mummy keeps on complaining that she's tired but I hope you understand, Mummy, that I need the extra energy boost and immunity to support my overall mental and physical development. I was such a small, teeny weeny baby when I was born, it kind of increased my confidence to know that I'm growing well. I'm proud to show you my chubby cheeks! They get chubbier and chubbier everyday, much to Daddy's delight of course. See pictures below taken from Mummy's Blackberry. (Psst! She doesn't like her phone. If you're kind enough to exchange your iPhone with her, please please do let her know. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to accept that exchange :D)
Mummy likes to bring me out for outings. We went to a cool place called Orchard Road last Thursday to meet Mummy's cool friends: Aunt Huda and Uncle Den who just got married last week, Aunt Dyla and hubby, Aunt Netty, Aunt Luk, Uncle Ariff, Uncle Aiman and Uncle Iskandar.
Mummy has many friends, I'm having a hard time remembering the names! -_-

I know, I know. Mummy loves capturing my un-glamourous moments, especially while I'm sleeping and unaware of her actions. She's also easily excited at my slightest attempt to smile or giggle. I get annoyed with her kisses but it's heartwarming to know that she dotes on me, having read the latest news on a father who beats his own daughters. Must be painful, don't you think? Guess I'm blessed that my Mummy and Daddy are not like him.

You'll be missed, Azizah. You'll be missed...
Too many memories - from featuring the Anugerah Skrin 2006 winners to featuring Inneke on Manja's front cover - but it's kinda hard to pour on this blog. All I can say, it's nice knowing you, Azizah. I will always remember your warm, genuine smile. Al Fatihah and may you rest in peace.

April Fools

It's fun to organise an impromptu birthday party despite our busy schedule. Thanks Netty and Lis for roping me in. Kitaorang semangat ok, siap ada meeting lagi a day before the party. Thanks Wati and Reha for assisting us in the decoration. And Nezar, if you're reading this, I didn't sabo you tau! (It wasn't me!) *winks*
Here are the highlights of the celebration...
Of course, more pictures are posted on my Facebook :)

A birthday celebration is not complete without a yummy cake.

Bondage moments.

Milo moments. Sunguh-sungguh the "babies" went deeper to find the 5 items.

Maslina got a hug from Kak Sab.

Love is in the air, perhaps? ;)

I must be in the picture lah kan...asyik snap orang lain je. LOL!

Past Week Happenings
Thanks to husband, I’m now wide awake. It’s Arsenal versus Barcelona! He had his iPhone set on alarm mode at 3am. Being a light sleeper, I can easily feel vibrations – even light ones, what more piercing alarm-sounding devices. Unfortunately, husband is not the type who would wake up that easily. Confirm, kalau bom meletup pun dia takkan bangun. Well, being a good wife, I woke him up to remind him of the soccer match, much to his delight.
This entry is not about the soccer match but more on the happenings for the past week which I fail to update due to work commitments, now that I CAN'T SLEEP...hurhur...Thanks hubby!
Let's start with Anugerah Skrin...

Well, I'm impressed with the enthusiasm shown by some contestants. However, there are still some who couldn't be bothered to dress up for the audition. C'mon, you jolly well know it. First impression counts. Wearing slippers is a BIG no-no, even for job interviews. You can't expect people to sympathize with you, just because you came all the way from the East or West side of Singapore. I bet Siti Nurhaliza did dressed up (despite her "obit" moments) for Bintang RTM. It’s not luck, people. It’s plain hard work. If you think you have the talent, work on your other flaws.
To those who came and made it to the second audition, congratulations! To the rest who sent personal messages via my Twitter and Facebook account to enquire about the audition, I regret to inform you that the audition is over. We are in the midst of selecting the Top 24 contestants.
Can't wait to see Singapore's very own up-and-coming stars? Don't forget to catch the debut of Anugerah Skrin on 4 May 2010 at 8.30pm, every Tuesday and Friday on Suria.
MediaCorp's Got Talent
Despite our busy schedules, some of my colleagues were still able to squeeze some time for MediaCorp's Got Talent, a reality competition at work. I have to applaud their effort to come out top in the competition. They did a Lady Gaga's dance act, a brainchild of Johari from Eaglevision. So much effort was put in - make-up, hair-do, costumes and complicated dance steps. It was amazing how they were able to cope with the ever demanding workload and attending rehearsals after work.
I felt like 16 again, screaming on top of my lungs to give my utmost support to the TV team, a combined effort by Suria, Eaglevision, Vasantham, Okto, Channel 5, Channel 8 and Channel U. Both MediaCorp Technologies and Radio clinched 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Here's the finale pose by the TV team...

Haiz, Farah and Wati...if you're reading this, just wanna say I'm proud of you!
Meeting the Juniors
Thanks to partners-in-crime Efin and Mada for the impromptu chalet session for the SSPians, we had fun bonding with each other. Well, it's been a long time since I last unwind.
I'm glad I didn't miss the gathering last Friday. You can see me smiling from ear-to-ear from the pictures. My heartfelt thank you to my juniors who never fail to keep me posted on events like this. I like the fact that I feel 'young' again whenever I'm with them :)

A pleasant birthday surprise from Down Under...

My thanks too to a dear friend from Brisbane who sent me these beautiful sunflowers when I least expect it.
My colleagues went "Awwww..." reading her message :)
Thank you Allah for the SUNSHINES in my life!
I'm loving it! Thank you. Thank you...
