Feeling touristy!

Raudha, Netty, Luk and I were feeling touristy yesterday. We were supposed to have a kite outing at Marina Barrage but Luk had to paint her new house and Netty, being a good cousin, had to help her.

The day started with Raudha and I, having a very late lunch at Arnold's, City Plaza. Kita feeling-feeling lapar tapi tak habis ok!

Guess what we ordered? A whole spring chicken and potato chips!
That's a lot for two girls to consume, we only managed to finish half the chicken. So I had to pack the other half for my beloved husband.

Luckily, husband came to fetch us both and off we went to buy our kites at East Coast Park. Thanks to Hana and Sally who gave us the lead on where to purchase one.

For your info, the kite can be bought at ECP's 7-11 (Near McD). One kite and a spool cost $10 and $2.50 respectively. One tip in choosing a good kite: choose one that is triangular-shaped. Trust me, it'll be easier for you to fly one.

Raudha was very excited, posing with the kites. Kita semangat ok! The garang dung-dung-che, monster-looking with the long tail is mine. Haha! Told you! Semangat nak mampus!

We went to Terminal 3 next to lepak. Glad Netty and Luk joined us there. We had a hearty dinner at BK. Great companions + good laugh = Perfect Valentine's Day Eve!

Luk ~ her hair with paint dusts which looked more like dandruffs.

And her painted feet!

Lovely, isn't she? LOL!!!

We spent the rest of the day snapping pictures at the airport. Of course, banyak yang dipetik takde makna langsung!

I have to admit...we actually lied! We pretended to leave for KL and tweeted about it. LOL!

Sememangnya takde keje, buat keje! Kesian Pujanggamalam and Diana Salim tertipu!

Sorry guys...kita janji kita tak buat lagi!
Promise!

Singapore Flyer

Bringing tourists around Singapore is not easy. Well, the island is small as compared to Malaysia. The boys had been to the Night Safari, Chinatown, Little India, Orchard Road and Sentosa on their own. They had covered so much, where else could I possibly bring them?

When they muted the idea of visiting the F1 circuit, my first reaction was, "What F1 circuit? They're just normal roads!"

So that's how the idea of bringing them to the Singapore Flyer came about. Entry fee is $29.50 but you can get 20% off if you pay via DBS credit card.

During the 30 mins ride, I showed them the exact F1 route, the location of the upcoming casino, Kusu Island, Keppel and Sentosa and tell them a brief history of the island.

The 360° view of Singapore at that moment was breathtaking as the sun was about to set. I guess it went pretty well :)

I hope they enjoyed the trip as much as we do.

A day as a tourist guide :)

After kite-flying...I went to Hana's place to take a quick nap. Penat beb, pinggang sakit, kejar layang-layang! It was my first time meeting Matt and his Brazillian friends (Gil & Bruno) in-person, but suprisingly it wasn't awkward. Hana wanted me to be their official tourist guide, and she, the official driver. The idea of showing them places of interest in Singapore was fun at first but I didn't exactly know where to bring them. I happened to see Raudaa's pictures at Bollywood Veggies which she posted on Facebook the day before, so I took the risk to bring them there as I've never been there myself ~ it would be a great adventure to discover an unknown place to many, or so I thought. But we got lost! Haha! So much of an adventure... But I managed to get help from Nezar for directions through his reliable GPS-ed iPhone (Thanks Nezar. If you're reading this, you know we owe you a treat).

By the way, I checked! The guys are straight! Yay! Hahahahahaha!!!!

Pictures? I'll upload them soon. Now, time to sleep!
